Windsor police arrest second suspect in McEwan Avenue homicide case

Frederick Leon, 25, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in relation to the fatal assault that happened in the 500 block of McEwan Avenue last month.

A second man is facing a murder charge in relation to the fatal incident that happened at a residence on McEwan Avenue last month.

Windsor police said investigators with the Major Crime Unit identified the second suspect — who had been considered “armed and dangerous” and was being sought with surveillance camera images — leading to his eventual arrest.

Frederick Leon, 26, of Toronto, has been charged with first-degree murder.

Police previously arrested a Windsor man in relation to the incident: Prince Charles, 25. He also faces a charge of first-degree murder.

The investigation continues and police encourage anyone with information to contact the Major Crime Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830.

The deceased was a 30-year-old man from Toronto. Windsor police originally responded on May 18 around 8 p.m. to a report of an assault with a weapon at an address on McEwan Avenue.
